Skyller Solutions Co., Ltd., a specialist in unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) or drone services, has officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Trat Provincial Public Health Office, led by Dr. Thanawat Wongphan, Provincial Public Health Officer of Trat. The collaboration marks the launch of a pilot project on medical drone delivery, announced on March 16, 2026, at Laem Ngop Hospital, Trat Province. This initiative aims to enhance emergency healthcare infrastructure in Trat by improving the transportation of medical supplies across remote coastal and island areas. By leveraging drone technology, the project seeks to overcome geographical and logistical constraints, enabling faster and more reliable access to healthcare services.

Mr. Prayon Sonachai, Business Solution Team Lead at Skyller Solutions, shared the vision behind the collaboration:

“Our key goal is to drive innovation that reduces gaps and promotes equal access to healthcare services. This partnership with the Trat Provincial Public Health Office marks an important step in using drone delivery technology to overcome geographical barriers, ensuring that people in remote and island areas can receive timely medical care.”

Trat Province’s unique geography, consisting of numerous islands and coastal areas, presents ongoing challenges in accessing healthcare services, especially during rainny seasons or natural disruptions such as flooding, when transportation routes may be cut off. These challenges can significantly delay the delivery of critical medical supplies, including medicines, blood, and life-saving equipment.

Under this collaboration, drone delivery technology serves as the core operational mechanism. Skyller Solutions is responsible for end-to-end flight operations, including drone deployment, regulatory approvals from relevant authorities such as the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) and the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT), personnel training, and flight route testing to ensure the highest safety standards. Meanwhile, the Trat Provincial Public Health Office provides operational support and coordination with a network of healthcare facilities, including Trat Hospital, Laem Ngop Hospital, Koh Chang Hospital, Koh Kood Hospital, and Koh Mak Health Promoting Hospital, ensuring that the system aligns with real medical needs.

Dr. Thanawat Wongphan emphasized the importance of this initiative: “This collaboration represents a breakthrough in overcoming geographical limitations in Trat Province, enabling faster access to medical treatment—especially during critical moments or severe weather conditions. It is a significant step forward and the first pilot project of its kind in the eastern region.” “With drone delivery technology that reduces transportation barriers, combined with a standardized temperature-controlled system, healthcare networks can manage medical supplies more effectively and respond to critical patient needs in a timely manner. This builds confidence among frontline healthcare workers and local communities.”

Mr. Prayon further highlighted the importance of precision and standards in medical logistics:

“In medical delivery, precision and standards are critical. That’s why we integrate Skyller ColdCare innovation with our drone delivery system, ensuring that all medical supplies remain in optimal condition throughout the entire operation under strict temperature control.”

The project integrates advanced technologies to ensure safety and efficiency:

  1. Skyller Medical Drone Delivery: Drone-based logistics system serving as the primary aerial transport for medical supplies, overcoming geographical limitations.
  2. Skyller ColdCare Solution: A real-time monitoring and control system consisting of: 2.1 Skyller ColdCare Cooler Box: Specialized temperature-controlled containers for transporting medicines, vaccines, blood bags, and biological samples 2.2 Skyller ColdCare Platform: A centralized platform that enables real-time monitoring of critical parameters such as temperature, humidity, vibration, and GPS location of the drone

Following the signing ceremony, Skyller conducted a live demonstration flight transporting medical supplies between Laem Ngop Hospital and Koh Chang Hospital over a distance of more than 10 kilometers. The demonstration was witnessed by senior officials, including representatives from the Ministry of Public Health and regional healthcare authorities, reinforcing confidence in the effectiveness of drone-based medical logistics for island communities.
